At the end of 2022, I completed a 6-week heavy metal detox with Madalyn Hughes, HNP. She is one of my all-time biggest mentors in the holistic wellness space. She’s knowledgeable, friendly, and cares so so so deeply about all of her clients. I’ve known her personally for many years, but it took me until 2022 to finally leap to take my health into my own hands with her help. Celery juice was on the detox staples.

I cannot wait to write an entire blog post about the experience. But first, let me tell you that that ish was literally LIFE-CHANGING!
Bloat? No more.
Chronic pain? Reduced.
Restful sleep? Hello!
Stress? Lower than usual.
Energy without caffeine? Yup!
One of the staples of Madalyn’s protocol was celery juice. I’m even still drinking it after the program! At first, I was so nervous about drinking it. I mean, I enjoy eating celery, but drinking it? Hmm.
When I tasted my first glass, I was happily surprised! The taste was slightly bitter but also smooth. I wasn’t worried about drinking 16 to 32 ounces of the stuff a day.
Drinking celery juice truly helped me feel great during my detox period. Some of the benefits of celery juice are:
To juice at home, which will be fresher and WAY more cost-effective than buying juice, I recommend the Omega H3000D Cold Press Juicer. It’s compact, quick, easy to use, and budget- and beginner-friendly. It’s super easy to put together and clean after juicing.
It’s a cold press juicer, meaning more nutrients stay within the juice because it doesn’t warm up during the juicing process. When juice warms up, some nutrients can be lost.
For the size of the juicer, it juices your fruits and veggies fairly quickly. It’s also pretty quiet! I can barely hear it if I’m in the next room. Yay!
Madalyn is no longer hosting detox programs, but leave me a comment below with your questions and I’ll answer them!
Happy Healing! xoxo
